This original poster was created for the 1st Youth Exhibition of Plastic Arts (1a. Mostra Juvenil d’Arts Plàstiques), organized by the Generalitat de Catalunya as a memorial to Pablo Picasso.
The central illustration features a minimalist line drawing in Picasso’s signature style, showing a profile of an artist holding a palette and brush. The text at the bottom indicates a collaborative effort between several Catalan government departments, including those dedicated to youth, artistic activities, and various levels of education.
The image of the the poster is taken from the artwork The Painter III (also known as Le Peintre III) created by Pablo Picasso in 1970 (see last picture).
