Dating back to 1264 Valdespino is one of the oldest bodegas in Jerez; Alfonso Valdespino was given the land for being one of 24 knights who fought with King Alfonso X against the Arabs for the city of Jerez; the company is now owned by the Estevez family (since 1999).
