Tintin and the Temple of the Sun, Spain.
Original Spanish vintage film advertising poster for the 1969 animated film Tintin and the Temple of the Sun (original title Tintin et le temple du soleil), which was produced by Belvision Studios. A co-production between Belgium, France and Switzerland, it is an adaptation of Herge's two-part Tintin adventure The Seven Crystal Balls and Prisoners of the Sun. First appearing in 1929 in French, The Adventures of Tintin was one of the most popular European comics of the 20th century. By 2007, a century after Herge's birth in 1907, Tintin had been published in more than 70 languages with sales of more than 200 million copies, and had been adapted for radio, television, theatre, and film. The artwork features the protagonist Tintin and his dog Snowy grasping onto the claw talons of a huge black and white vulture, whilst other main characters including the twins Thomson and Thompson, Captain Haddock, the Professor and Zorrino look on. Also features a gold Incan sculpture and temple in the background.
