Yellow submarine/Ibiza, Spain.
Scene depicts “The Beatles” wearing classic swim trunks and their iconic yellow submarine with the logo of the two Pacha cherries. This hippie poster is characterized by a mix of colours and motifs, expressing love and peace, and like all other motifs of the hippie movement, it aims to appeal more to the senses and emotions than to reason.
Pacha Ibiza opened in 1973 and is the earliest super club in Ibiza. Built in Ses Feixes and facing Ibiza Town, Pacha was designed to resemble a farmhouse.
In addition to this, the Flower Power party is a tribute to the hippie culture that made Ibiza famous as the island of freedom. There are flowers, balloons, flags and posters that recreate the atmosphere of Woodstock, the most famous music festival in history. The party was organized by “Made in Italy Ibiza”
On the other side, I am a Spanish poster collector who lives in London and when I am on holiday in my country I buy original Spanish posters. I bought this poster from a person who lived in Ibiza and collected Pacha posters.
