One Million Years B.C, Spain.
This vintage Spanish movie poster for the 1966 fantasy adventure film, "One Million Years B.C.", known in Spanish as Hace un millón de años. This iconic film is a remake of a 1940 movie and is most famous for catapulting star Raquel Welch to international fame due to her wearing a fur bikini costume, which became a major pop culture image of the 1960s.
Did you know…?
One Million Years B.C. had censored editions in Spain, mainly due to scenes of explicit violence (fights against pterosaurs, tribal clashes, deaths) due to the content of scenes of the relationship between Tumak and Loana, seeking to soften it for the family audience or comply with the regulations of the Francoist/transition era, although the strongest censorship focused on the graphic violence, altering the intensity of the battles and some deaths.
