Levi’s/Moscow Olympic Games. USA
A stunning and highly desirable original vintage poster from the legendary 1980 Moscow Olympic Games series commissioned by Levi's, designed by Michael Manwaring. This vibrant artwork features a dynamic downhill skier in bold red, white and blue gear carving across the map of North America, set against a striking gradient sky of deep blue, emerald green and golden yellow. Snow sprays behind the ski as the athlete leans into the turn -pure energy frozen in print.
A true piece of history: part of a celebrated six-continent series printed in 1979, but never officially released. Following the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan, the USA boycotted the Moscow Olympics and Levi's withdrew the entire campaign - making these posters incredibly scarce today. The North America/ Skiing design is one of the most sought-after of the complete set.
