Jacqueline with a black scarf/Picasso. Spain.
Title: Spain. Everything (new) under the sun
Scene depicts "Jacqueline with a black scarf", a work of art which is at the Picasso Museum in Barcelona, original poster edited by the Spanish Ministry of Tourism for the French market. On the other side, this poster includes Joan Miro's abstract logo "El Sol" (see picture 3) which is still used to promote Spain.
Who was Jacqueline?
Jacqueline Picasso or Jacqueline Roque was the muse and second wife of Pablo Picasso (see last picture together). Their marriage lasted 12 years until his death, during which time he created over 400 portraits of her, more than any of Picasso's other lovers.
