Historical context:
The Apostolate of Prayer was born in 1844 in a training house for young Jesuits in Vals, in the south of France so that the young people who studied there could be apostles and missionaries in their ordinary lives, uniting everything they did during the day to Christ. . Thus, priests arise who carry out their mission in distant lands and when they return to visit their homeland, they pass by the seminary where they had been trained. In this way they told the young Jesuits about their work and adventures and, upon hearing the stories, they became excited to continue studying.
The Pope's World Prayer Network in Spain, the so-called Apostleship of Prayer, initiates many proposals to help those who wish to live more closely united to Jesus and wish to formalize their personal dedication and commitment.
